24x7 Volunteer Service for Needy by Kuntal Sarkar and his Wellwishers


News Desk, News Nation 360 :  The COVID-19 pandemic, also known as the coronavirus pandemic, is an ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The World health organization declared Coronavirus a pandemic on 11 March 2020. As of 16 May 2021, more than 162 million cases have been confirmed, with more than 3.36 million deaths attributed to COVID-19, making it one of the deadliest pandemics in history. In Kolkata, Kuntal Sarkar from Bhawanipur along with some of his wellwishers is 24 hours active in helping the needy patients and their families with all their efforts as the second wave of the pandemic has left the healthcare system in India in turmoil, an acute shortage of medical oxygen is being observed. As hospitals in the country scramble to find oxygen supplies, good samaritans and social organizations are organizing to help wherever possible to assist citizens with this cause. Till now Kuntal has supplied more than 125 oxygen cylinders throughout the city of Kolkata and adjacent Howrah, North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas. Not only by Oxygen cylinder he is also trying to assist the needy patient to get admission in hospital and Nursing home throughout Bengal. Kuntal and his team are also feeding more than 35 persons daily who is affected along with their family. They are also distributing masks, sanitizers in the slum areas and the persons staying at the footpaths of Kolkata. While talking to Kuntal Sarkar, he stated that he is trying his level best to stand by the needy people in this pandemic situation. But they have limitations as they don't have so many funds for this on regular basis. So any people if want to donate or give some material may contact him.
