Binodini Rai' crosses more than one crore views on social media

News Desk, News Nation 360: 'Binodini Rai' was sung in Dhamail style which originated from the north-eastern Sylhet district of Northern Bangladesh. Duet song recorded by famous Bangladeshi singer Sabbir Nasir and 'Sa Re Ga Ma' fame Kolkata based singer Shampa Biswas crossed one crore views recently. Within few days of releasing the song on 11th April, 'Binodini Rai' broke all the records on social media including YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Recently no Bengali song has garnered this kind of popularity. The lyrics and tune of the song have been arranged by the National Award-winning artist of Bangladesh Plavan Qureshi. At a time when the second wave of Covid has affected all of us, 'Binodini Rai' came in like a ray of positivity and sprinkled happiness in our minds. Sabbir Nasir entered the world of the Bangladeshi music industry in 1997 as a vocalist for a band called Metamorphosis. His song 'Tumi Jodi Bolo' is very popular in Bangladesh. Some of his remarkable songs ‘Ful Photabo’, ‘Fagun Asche’, ‘Jal Jochna’ released last year and subsequently gained immense popularity in Bangladesh. Sa Re Ga Ma fame Kolkata based singer Shampa Biswas stated that Binodini Rai is another example of the cultural amity between two countries. The success of this song proves that artists can still make people jovial with their work and he is extremely grateful to his audience for all the appreciation.
