The Changing Trends of Placements at BIBS

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Eastern India comparatively provides lesser employment opportunities in the middle management level – this is believed by quite a few Industry Pundits. BIBS a premium Management Institute which has been ranked 2nd Best B-School in Eastern India by The Times of India B-school survey for 2 consecutive years (2018 and 2019) and received the Best Education Brand Award by The Economic Times is based in Kolkata. BIBS over their journey of 11 + years of imparting Management Education has been an industry leader who has progressively provided excellent placement opportunities to their students. According to Vidur Kapoor, Chairman of BIBS Kolkata, the institution has an Industry Internship central to its Post Graduate Programme which provides hands-on experience and exposure to students on the operational aspects of business, Management Guest Inspire Series – MGIS where noted personalities from the Business and Professional community interact with the

students to share Management views and insight essential for grooming of prospective managers. The college organizes Corporate Sessions with Senior Managerial Professionals from the Industries to provide awareness to students about the changing trends in business. This holistic education process has been the key contributor towards making the BIBS students Market ready.  The major factor that has played a crucial role in achieving these results have been the design and implementation of the course by BIBS. Their management courses are Industry driven. FMCG companies like Nestle, Adani Wilmar, Dabur, Coca Cola and Mondelez have already hired 28 students from the 2017-19 batch as compared to 8 from the 2016-18 batch. Going by a similar trend the Banking companies like ICICI, Kotak, Yes! Bank have nearly doubled their hire from 16 of 2016-18 batch to 30 from 2017-19. These trends do not show any fatigue of the industry towards Eastern India. These numbers and trends are only to grow stronger over the coming months as per the Institution.
