D.S. Research Centre's Nationwide Campaign on World Cancer Day
News Desk, News Nation 360 : D.S. Research Centre organised a Walkathon for the Cancer Survivors and Cancer Patients in Kolkata on the occasion of World Cancer Day. The Walkathon was started from D.S. Bhawan, Kankurgachi till ESI Hospital Maniktala and back to D.S. Bhawan. The Centre launched a special nationwide campaign on the occasion under the theme of I am & I Will. To support the cause, the day was started with a walkathon with the active participation of more than 500 students including Cancer patients, Cancer survivors, Paramedical and Pharma Students, Doctors and D.S.R.C. Staffs, creating awareness about breast, cervical, lung and stomach cancer which was followed by a motivational session for the cancer patients and cancer survivors who emerged victorious in their fight against the deadly disease. The Centre came up with multiple cancer awareness campaigns across India, including Kolkata, Bengaluru, Guwahati,
Hyderabad, Mumbai, Tripura and Varanasi. World Cancer Day is the ideal platform to educate the general mass about the Cancer and eradicating the myths attached to it since time unknown in order to save a million lives by fighting against Cancer. Dr Anirban Bhattecharya, D.S.R.C was present in a press conference to brief the media.
