​The second G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group meeting was held in Udaipur

News Desk, News Nation 360: The 2nd Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG) meeting under India’s G20 Presidency began in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The three-day meeting focused on identifying relevant policies and best practices to mobilize sustainable finance to help ensure global growth and stability. For the first time in this group meeting, issues related to climate change were discussed beyond data and reporting related to nature and its social impact. budget tagging, public participation programs and capacity building for the environment were also brainstormed. More than 90 delegates from different countries are participating in the three-day meeting. This meeting will continue till March 23. A workshop was also organized on the sidelines of the meeting where the first workshop was based on a non-pricing policy to support sustainable investment. The second workshop to be held on Wednesday i.e. 22nd March will be on Enabling Finance for the Sustainable Development Goals. As a prelude to the 2nd G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group, various Jan Bhagidari events are being organized in Udaipur from March 18 to 23 to create awareness about India’s G20 Presidency. These events include Townhall Meetings for MSME Entrepreneurs, a Seminar on Bridging the Financing Gap of SDGs, the Role of Microfinance at IIM Udaipur, a Conference on Green Finance - A Way Forward, a Digital Banking Education Programme, a Session on Cyber Hygiene and Cyber Security, G20 Financial Literacy Walkathon, Financial Literacy Camp, Mela and Awareness Program by Jaipur etc.
