News Desk, News Nation 360 : Kerala has further cemented its position as one of the top travel destinations in any season following a satisfactory growth in the number of domestic tourists. Innovative products like the Champions Boat League (CBL) race are helping the southern state to further strengthen its position as a tourism hub. Regarding the increase in domestic tourist arrivals, Tourism Minister PA Mohammad Riaz said that since the Pandemic, the state is making every effort to accelerate the huge increase in tourist arrivals in Kerala. The CBL season starts shortly after the Onam week celebrations across the state. This is a great time for tourists to come to Kerala and experience the diversity of this state. Kerala Tourism's innovative initiatives received a further boost recently with the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Award. The award is given for delivering effective messages to out-of-state markets. The award-winning campaign titled 'Make Up for Lost Time, Pack Up for Kerala' was conceived with people gradually returning to normal life after COVID. Its target was domestic tourists. The campaign is across all media platforms including print media, radio, OOH, digital video and banners (web portals) and social media channels - is a great success. In 2022, Kerala SATTE Delhi, OTM Mumbai, BIT Milan, IMTM Tel Aviv, ATM Dubai, WIM London and ITB Berlin have made a profound impact on major tourism and travel fairs in India and abroad. A partnership meeting will be organized in Kolkata to attract more tourists from within the country. This will be followed by a series of tourism business networking activities, including participation in trade fairs and hosting B2B trade meets in September and October. October. Tourist arrivals increased during the colourful Onam celebrations throughout the week. The third edition of the IPL-modeled CBL is set to begin later this month. It is expected that the competition will further increase the arrival of domestic tourists in all regions of the state. K Vishnu added that recent trends show that Kerala has become an attractive place to hold glamorous wedding ceremonies. Kerala's unmatched natural beauty, picture-perfect locations, outstanding accommodation banqueting facilities and connectivity make the state one of the best wedding destinations in the world.
