Ayushman Diwas at Naba Raja Lane Saw a Spike in Blood and Clothing Donations

News Desk, News Nation 360: Ayushman Week 2026 marked the observance of Ayushman Diwas at Raja Lane (Kolkata-9), which was organised by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, along with Naba Raja Lane Sammilani, where a voluntary blood donation camp and clothes distribution program took place on Sunday, August 16, 2026. The event had the presence of Jorasanko MLA Vijay Ojha, among other dignitaries such as Debashis Pyne, Subodh Das, Jai Narayan Singh, Badal Sarkar, Achintya Laha, Soma Singha Basak, Prabandha Roy, and Sanjay Roy, and saw active participation from community members, with 60 voluntary donors (25 females and 35 males) stepping up to contribute to the blood bank stock. Apart from providing clothing materials to people who needed them, there was a focused effort on making the locals aware of the medical facilities provided under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, with Naba Raja Lane Sammilani reiterating their commitment towards holding regular health and social welfare programs.
