News Desk. News Nation 360: In response to the growing demand for breathable, ecological, and culturally significant items, the Bengal Home Industries Association (BHIA) has launched a specially curated summer collection honouring Bengal's rich handloom and cottage industry traditions. A wide variety of airy and sophisticated summer sarees, such as Dhanekhali, Begampuri, Kota patterns, block-printed molmol, soft khadi, and exquisite Jamdanis, are featured in the season's fashion exhibit. These sarees are acquired straight from the top West Bengal weaving hubs like Phulia and Dhanekhali. In addition to the handloom clothing, BHIA's collection includes summer-appropriate home décor, showcasing airy, handwoven cotton curtain fabrics in addition to a colourful assortment of traditional artisanal goods like artistic lampshades, Dokra metal crafts, jute decorations, terracotta creations, and bamboo crafts. By using these seasonal exhibitions to bridge the gap between modern consumers and genuine, handmade heritage crafts while successfully preserving the state's artistic legacy, the association has been a crucial pillar of support for Bengal's rural weavers and cottage industries for decades.
