Star Jalsha Tells the Moving Tale of a Woman Named "Kumkum"

The story revolves around the resilient journey of Kumkum (played by Anushka), a young widow and creative prodigy who actively challenges domestic oppression and ingrained societal prejudices by using her exceptional craftsmanship to create avant-garde shoe designs. She also harbours the audacious goal of creating a worldwide Bengali footwear brand. When she meets Ishan Sinha (played by Adrit), a progressive, "green flag" partner who initially left his family's 100-year-old business to relocate to the USA due to the limiting stereotype that his community is not suited for long-term entrepreneurship, her life drastically changes. In defiance of strict convention, Ishan decides to marry her and give her a brand-new beginning, laying the groundwork for a compelling love story that examines whether Kumkum's unwavering resolve can subvert cultural norms, soothe Ishan's disappointment, and return him to his native country to jointly rewrite the story of Bengali business through their shared legacy, strength, and ambition.
