Tripura Steps Into a New Startup Horizon With the Launch of ‘‘T-RISE’’

News Desk, News Nation 360: The Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, in collaboration with Hyderabad-based T-Hub, organised an exclusive entrepreneur’s workshop called “Building a Unicorn in Tripura” at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, for quick advancement towards making the state an innovation and technology destination in the northeast part of India. This high-level entrepreneurship workshop was inaugurated by Sri Pranajit Singha Roy, Minister for IT, Finance, and Planning, along with other dignitaries such as Sri Kiran Gitte, IAS, Dr P. K. Goyal, IAS, and Sri Jeya Ragul Jeshon B, IFS. The inauguration saw the official launch of the T-RISE (Tripura Registry & Integration for Startup Ecosystem) Portal to integrate founders, mentors and investors as per the Sector-Agnostic Startup Policy of the state. With the backing of T-NEST incubator in Hapania, which has already created 70 startups along with distribution of over ₹2.72 crore in grants through Tri-Seed Fund and Proof-of-Concept scheme, this entrepreneurial workshop signed significant MoUs with HDFC Bank, Amazon.in, and Zoho Corporation, ending with an inspirational master class from Sri Tejaswi Bhagavathula, VP of Skyroot Aerospace, on building India’s first space-tech unicorn.
