Pratyasha - A Modern Bengali Play will be Staging Soon

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Director and Writer Kheyali Dastidar's new modern play from the house of Gameplan Pratyasha will be staging soon. The play is based on the mismatch expectations in today's life. The play will be seeing a well-known elocutionist Bratati Bandyopadhyay take the stage for the first time as she debuts as

a theatre actress. Popular Singer Lopamudra Mitra will also be making her debut as a Music Director. It features an exciting Star Cast Comprising Renowned Veterans Like Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Kaushiki Guha, Ramaditya Ray, Kheyali Dastodar, Rahul Dev Bose and Anusha Viswanathan. Gameplan Sports Pvt. Ltd., hitherto known for managing sports events and representing sportspersons and organizing literature festivals will be making its foray into a theatre production. The original script of Pratyasha, written by celebrated thespian Chandra Dastidar, was put on Display, which had won an award for the best Bengali Drama from the Paschim Banga Natya Academy. Speaking on the occasion, Kheyali Dastidar, Director of Pratyasha stated that she had chosen Pratyasha because it is the story of a Single Mother, a lonely Daughter, an estranged Husband, an ambitious son written by the late Chandra Dastidar in the Year 1989. It was a play ahead of its time and is still relevant. It is a tribute to womanhood and her parents Chandra and Jochchon Dastidar.
