​Soil to Soul - Binding Bengal Unites Artisans and NGOs for a Noble Cause
News Desk, News Nation 360: Diwali is a time when we cleanse our homes and our souls. Kolkata Centre for Creativity (KCC), in association with Emami Arts and FICCI FLO Kolkata Chapter, proudly presents Soil to Soul-Binding Bengal on November 4th at the Kolkata Centre for Creativity. This impactful initiative is aimed at celebrating the artistic brilliance in Bengal – be it patachitra or pottery. The event was attended by the Chief Guest The Hon'ble Mayor of Kolkata Firhad Hakim, Guest of Honour, Sudha Shivkumar, National President, FICCI Ladies Organisation & Special Guest, Astrid Wege, Director, Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan, Kolkata will be attending the event. This is a melting pot of 15 NGOs and 25 artisans from all over Bengal displaying their magical handicrafts before Diwali in association with Ek Packet Umeed, FICCI FLO and Mritttika Earthy Talks Foundation. The participating NGOs are Karmyog, Ektara, Dakshini Prayas, Ishwar Sankalpa Paws for Hope, Annapurna Foundation, Live Strong Foundation, SHIRC, and Unmish East India Rare Diseases Association. Richa Agarwal, Chairperson of KCC stated that Soil to Soul is a transformative initiative that promises to be a vibrant celebration of Bengal’s rich artistic heritage
while making a meaningful difference in the lives of talented artisans and dedicated NGOs. They are delighted to collaborate with artisans from 8 different districts of Bengal and partner with Ek Packet Umeed and FICCI FLO Kolkata chapter to bring this event to life. They invite everyone to join them on this remarkable journey of creativity and passion. According to Radhika Dalmia, President of FICCI FLO, Diwali should be celebrated with meaningful gifting.
