St. Xaviers Kolkata Donated 40 Lacs to Fight against Coronavirus (Covid-19)
News Desk, News Nation 360 : The entire world is now fighting out the threat of the deadly Novel Coronavirus and most places are under lockdown. There is massive emergency across the world and everyone is in an unprecedented helpless and hapless situation. St. Xavier's Kolkata to contribute to Corona Relief Fund Professors, teachers and non-teaching staff of the College, as well as the Collegiate School, have committed to donate their 1-day salary of March 2020. The Alumni/ae members of both St. Xavier's College (Calcutta) Alumni Association (SXCCAA) and Alumnorum Societas (St. Xavier's School Old Boy's Association or ALSOC) are determined to strengthen the legacy through their contributions. College and school students are also volunteering to contribute generously to the fund. They wish to aggregate all such contributions under the single umbrella of St. Xavier's, Kolkata and handover a sum of Rupees 40, 00,000/- (Rupees 40 Lacs Only) to the Relief Fund constituted as West Bengal State Emergency Relief Fund. This is a small stride from their end to combat this pandemic called Novel Coronavirus. All our stakeholders have started responding to their appeal already and shown their commitments to contribute generously. The St. Xavier’s Kolkata community of Jesuit fathers have contributed generously. Fathers at St. Xavier's are also praying for the safety and good health of Hon'ble Prime Minister and all the administrative heads of Central Government, Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal and all the administrative heads of the State Government, Hon'ble Mayor and KMC authorities, Police Commissioner and the entire Police force, Doctors and Health Department officials as well as support staff, members of all other emergency services, and the distressed people across the world.
