Women literacy as a step towards empowering women

News Desk, News Nation 360: Lotus Rescue the NGO working for the underprivileged children and women had started their women literacy program recently. The programme has already shown a significant positive response on this International women’s day. The NGO has not only achieved milestones on looking after the basic needs of the underprivileged but is now setting for higher aims for them. The literacy programme has started literacy centres in villages enabling the women to develop reading and writing capacity. The women from the different centres have already reported an increase amount of self confidence in their daily lives. Ruplekha Sinha Roy expressed her thought about the noble initiative that literacy is one of the primary need of every individual. There are many socio economic challenges for women literacy in India, for which most women are not enough privileged, to receive education. Lotus rescue is trying to build functional literacy skills in women. They are trying to enable women to live with dignity, and empower them enough to enable them to take control of their own lives.
