Kanoria, Trustee Chairman, Kanoria Foundation. The Confluence engaged scholars and intellectuals from different walks of life in dialogues on how spirituality encourages tolerance which is essential for sustainable development of the society and welfare of the citizens. Shri. Tathagata Roy, Hon'ble Governor of Meghalaya; Dr Subramanian Swamy, Hon'ble Member of Parliament – Rajya Sabha, Dr Karan

Dr H.P. Kanoria, Trustee Chairman, Kanoria Foundation, told the last decade has witnessed a steady decline in the level of peace across the globe as terrorism, conflicts and rising violence-affected individuals and businesses. The cost of this violence is estimated to be around 12.4% of global GDP. In an environment of uncertainty and intolerance, the poor get affected the most. Hence, they need to break this cycle. Principles of spirituality govern harmonious co-existence of everyone in society. Therefore, understanding the importance of spiritual values amongst individuals, organisations, and society at large has become increasingly important. Kanoria Foundation is dedicated towards the spirituality based culture of righteousness, devotion to work, pure intentions, respect, unity, peace and similar such values. This year's Confluence is aimed at promulgating a culture of tolerance through spirituality.
