News Desk, News Nation 360 : Recently, JIS University held its fourth convocation ceremony on campus. Several distinguished dignitaries graced the convocation, including Prof Subhasis Chaudhuri, the former director of IIT Bombay and KN Bajaj Chair Professor; Sardar Taranjit Singh, the Chancellor of JIS University and Managing Director, JIS Group; Dr Narinder Kumar, the Controller of Examinations; Dr Sanghamitra Kundu, the Deputy Controller of Examinations; Dr Atanu Kotal, the Deputy Registrar (Academics), JIS University; Prof. H.S. Maji, the Dean Academics; Directors, deans and department heads, officially inaugurated the ceremony and Prof Bhabes Bhattacharya, Vice Chancellor, JIS University; presented the convocation report. Bangladesh; Dr Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil International University Bangladesh and Dr Neeraj Saxena, Pro-Chancellor of JIS University graced the occasion. Additionally, representatives from academia, research, industry and various colleges attended the ceremony. A ceremonial procession preceded the official inauguration announcement at the convocation ceremony. 1086 students graduated from the event with degrees and diplomas, including 683 undergraduates, 316 postgraduates, 73 diplomas, and 14 Ph.D.s. 39 students received gold medals, 34 received silver medals, and 27 graduates received bronze medals for their outstanding academic achievement. The JIS University's faculties—the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, the Faculty of Management Studies, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Juridical Sciences, the Faculty of Hospitality & Hotel Administration, and the JIS Institute for Advanced Studies & Research (JISIASR)—are the entities that awarded the aforementioned degrees and diplomas.
