Nxtra by Airtel joins RE100 to Become a Data Centre Provider that uses only Renewable Energy Sources

News Desk, News Nation 360 : One of India's top data centre providers, Nxtra by Airtel, has pledged to source only renewable electricity and joined the RE100 initiative, a global flagship project run by Climate Group in collaboration with CDP. The company has contracted 422,000 MWh of renewable energy to date, a significant increase in its use of renewable energy. By sourcing renewable energy through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Captive Solar Rooftop Plants, Nxtra was able to save approximately 156,595 tCO2e emissions in FY 2023–2024. With this, Nxtra underlines its commitment to environmental sustainability and its goal of becoming net-zero by 2031 and becomes the only data centre organisation in India to have pledged to RE100. It is also the 14th Indian company to reach this milestone.
