This new school honours the rich legacy of academic excellence and holistic education associated with the Modern High School name, continuing the esteemed legacy of Modern High School for Girls, one of Kolkata's most respected educational establishments. The school has consistently turned out successful people who were instilled with values, leadership skills, and a love of learning. Modern High School International has been recognised for its dedication to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and fostering a healthy learning environment by receiving the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) platinum certification, the highest certification given to any building. On November 23, 2023, the new building received this certification. Commenting on the formal inauguration, Nirmala Birla, Chairperson of Modern High School International stated that upholding their values of excellence, integrity, and inclusivity is what they intend to do with Modern High School International, just as they have done for decades at Modern High School. Modern High School International's IGCSE and IBDP curricula place a strong emphasis on experiential learning beyond textbooks. Their goal is to produce young people who are socially conscious, sympathetic, and compassionate in addition to academically gifted students. Modern science labs on the third floor and a wellness area that gives students a device-free area to unwind and rejuvenate demonstrate the institution's dedication to academic excellence. The campus's architectural design is enhanced by the central atrium, which creates a revitalising and comfortable learning atmosphere. Modern educational technology is used in its dynamic classrooms, which also feature areas that promote collaboration.
