Bharat Sevashram Sangh's Initiative to Plant Trees in the Sundarbans Area Prior to the Monsoon

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Every year, Bharat Sevashram Sangh promotes the planting of trees in the Sundarbans and other parts of the state as a means of both environmental preservation and social service. This year, every family committed to planting ten trees at the start of the monsoon season through the efforts of Sangh's rural service centre, in collaboration with Rabindra Gramme Panchayat, the State Medicinal Plant Board, and Manmathpur Pranab Mandir in the South 24 Parganas district. 600 families received about 5,000 herb seedlings in honour of World Environment Day. On this occasion, the Deputy Head of Ravindra Gramme Panchayat and members of the Panchayat were present. The Panchayat and Manmathpur Pranab Mandir promised to plant 25,000 more trees on all of the roadside areas in the Rabindra Gramme Panchayat area to safeguard both the environment and the household. Every family in the area receives a variety of trees, such as Amalki, Bahera, Pipul, Bamanhati, Ashok, Arjuna, Ayapan, Ekangi, Bel, Pudina, and Haritaki.
