News Desk, News Nation 360 : Salt Lake Sanskritik Sansad & Sanmarg celebrated East India's largest Dussehra in Central Park, Salt Lake, Kolkata. The City of Joy witnessed a glittering celebration of the everlasting victory of good over evil. The 13th edition of this exciting celebration featured the stunning burning of a towering 60-foot Ravana effigy, together with 50-foot effigies of Meghnad and Kumbhakaran, before a cheering crowd of over 25,000 believers and guests. The festivities upheld the age-old notion that good triumphs over evil while providing residents with a lively stage on which to celebrate Kolkata's rich cultural heritage. Chhabra, Indian casting director and filmmaker, Payel Mukherjee, actress of Tollywood, Sandeep Bhattacharya, actor of Tollywood, Pradeep Todi, IPP of Salt Lake Sanskritik Sansad, Lalit Beriwala, Chairman of the Trust Board of Salt Lake Sanskritik Sansad, Amit Poddar, Secretary of Salt Lake Sanskritik Sansad, Ashok Todi, Managing Director of Lux Cozi, and many other renowned people, and the celebration started on October 1 with the grand Ras Garba and Dandiya Night, where participants gathered to enjoy traditional dance forms that formed a vibrant prelude and set a festive, united, and prideful atmosphere for the celebration of Dussehra. Speaking to the media, Sri. Sanjay Agarwal, President of Salt Lake Sanskritik Sansad, stated that their goal has always been to combine community service with devotion. They celebrate the spirit of Dussehra with this festival and use the occasion to advocate for social causes, including healthcare, education, and philanthropic endeavours for the poor. This is a celebration of culture, solidarity, and compassion rather than merely a festival.
