The Institute of Indian Foundrymen Concluded Successful 73rd Annual General Meeting

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Recently in Kolkata, the Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) held its 73rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) successfully. This historic occasion launched the 75th anniversary celebrations of IIF. It brought together stakeholders, members, and leaders of the industry to consider the Institute's remarkable past and chart the future direction of India's foundry sector. During the AGM, Hon. Treasurer Sushil Sharma and outgoing Hon. Secretary S Muthukumar presented the financial statements and the 2023–24 Annual Report. The newly elected and departing NOB teams were also honoured, with the departing team receiving special recognition for their leadership over a difficult year. Following D.S. Chandrashekar, Navneet Agarwal, Managing Partner of R.B. Agarwalla & Company, was named the new President of IIF for the 2024–25 term during the AGM. Navneet Agarwal, President; Sushil Sharma, Vice-President (Managing Director,

Shamlax Meta-Chem Pvt Ltd, Nagpur); Pradeep Kumar Madhogaria, Honorary Secretary (Partner, Yashi Castings, Howrah); and Dinesh Gupta, Honorary Treasurer (Director, Satyakiran Engineers Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi) make up the newly appointed National Office Bearers (NOB) team. National Foundry Day had taken place on August 17, 2024, as the kickoff event of a year-long series of events organised by IIF in honour of its 75th anniversary. To mark IIF's milestone, India Post published a Special Cover and My Stamp on this occasion. President Navneet Agarwal unveiled his term's theme, "Engineering for a Better Tomorrow," in his inaugural speech. He emphasised the importance of innovation, sustainability, and teamwork in determining the direction the foundry sector will take. He said that in honouring 75 years of IIF, their goal is to create a future in which engineering brilliance improves the situation for business, society, and the environment.
