SERVES FOR NATION
News Desk, News Nation 360: On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Desun Hospital sponsored Aarohan 2026, the second iteration of its premier recognition program honouring young people's academic achievement, tenacity, and fortitude. Aarohan, which means "ascent" or "rising higher," grew from its groundbreaking 2025 inaugural event, which was among the first in Eastern India to bring together neurodiverse achievers and academic toppers on a single stage, to bring together an even greater number of students, parents, educators, and institutions from various educational boards. Prof. (Dr.) Sanku Bose, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor of Amity University Kolkata, attended the
high-profile event and said that developing curiosity, discipline, and a lifetime love of learning are the foundations of true academic brilliance. Desun, a top healthcare organisation with JCI and NABH accreditation, sees the project as a logical progression of community development, connecting the domains of mental health, education, and health. Shaoli Dutta, CEO of Desun Hospital and a graduate of the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business, highlighted that fostering future generations goes well beyond traditional healthcare, portraying Aarohan as an essential inspiration for young people to confidently and clearly pursue their goals. Dr Saumitra Bharadwaj, Group Director of Desun Hospital and alumnus of Mayo College, Ajmer, echoed this vision by stating that the platform's goal is to create a long-lasting culture that values achievement, inclusivity, and personal resilience equally. This will ensure that tomorrow's leaders are fully motivated to dream bigger and realise their boundless potential.
