Acropolis Mall Honours Motherhood's Magic

Acropolis Mall honoured the spirit of mothers by holding a week-long competition that culminated in a very unique event. Acclaimed actress Mamata Shankar and her son, percussionist, music director, and actor Ratul Shankar, were present at the mall today to commemorate the wonder of motherhood. Konineeka Banerjee, an actress, also attended the event with her beautiful baby. Acropolis Mall in Kolkata recently organised a Mother's Day event that consisted of an online contest where sons and daughters posted why their mom is the best through selfies. The first three winners of the contest were Jayanti Mitra, Ishita Das, and Mohini Das. The mall also had a talent show of mother-daughter pairs such as Shreya Chatterjee/Arshiya Chatterjee, Kahini Bhattacharya/Mrittika Tribedi, Nandita Mukherjee/Shanya Mukherjee, Maitri Pramanik/Snajhbati Pramanik, Debjani Chakraborty/Adrija Jana, Surupa Mondal Adhikary/Sridatta Mondal, Nivedita Shah/Ahya Shah, and Tuktuki Dutta/Sutrina Dutta, who showcased their talents in music, dance, and recitation, demonstrating that talent and love can travel in families. On the occasion of a formal function, legendary actress Mamata Shankar and her son, percussionist Ratul Shankar, gave away prizes to the first three winners of the contest, and actress Konineeka Banerjee honoured the top-performing mother-son and mother-daughter duos from the talent show. The event was also accompanied by active activities guided by an emcee for duos participating in it, as well as a ceremonial cake cutting among all participants and winners together on Mother's Day, culminating in a harmonic musical soiree.
