Acropolis Mall Hosts All-Day Table Tennis Tournament for Sports & Fitness Enthusiasts

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Acropolis Mall in Kolkata organised an all-day Table Tennis Tournament. French sporting goods company Decathlon powered the event. The tournament was created to inspire both novice and expert players. It provided them with an opportunity to try their agility. The tournament kept participants engaged and active. Decathlon assisted in promoting the tournament on social media. They motivated fitness and table tennis lovers' participation. Sritanu Maji emerged as the winner of the tournament. He beat Pratichi Banerjee in the final game. He had already defeated semifinalists Sarthak Arora and Subhrojyoti Seal earlier. Parag Prakash Ankolekar organised the tournament. He is an ITTF Level 2 Certified Coach. He is also a PGDSC-certified coach of the Sports Authority of India. Diptanshu Dutta co-hosted and served as the tournament referee. He is a former national table tennis champion and SGFI gold medallist. All genders were invited to the tournament. It included Mixed Open events, as well as Men's and Women's Singles divisions. Eight prizes were given to the winner, runner-up, semi-finalists, and quarter-finalists. Subhadip Basu, Corporate General Manager – Retail and Hospitality, Merlin Group, stated that for the past few years, Acropolis Mall has partnered with the Bengal Chess Association and the Carrom Association of Bengal to support a variety of indoor sports competitions, such as chess and carrom. They firmly believe that athletics promote mental and physical agility, supporting people's overall development. The purpose of this table tennis competition is to encourage young people in Kolkata to be more physically fit. Acropolis Mall has established itself as a centre for entertainment and sports over the years. In the upcoming years, they will still hold indoor tournaments for carrom, chess, and table tennis. They hope that customers will continue to view Acropolis Mall as a family-friendly retail and entertainment destination.
