Actress Saumya Tandon In Kolkata for Radio Ghaint by Indrajit Nattoji

The film will be shown on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Cinepolis, Acropolis Mall in Kolkata, beginning at 7:00 PM. Radio Ghaint, starring the ever-charming Saumya Tandon, promises to be a tremendously entertaining ride full of humour, turmoil, and heart. Radio Ghaint is a fictional radio drama based in the town of Luvdhiana. It involves an ailing radio station. It is closing down. A live radio drama as a last resort is a desperate move to save it. The attempt results in chaos. The cast hijacks the plot over live air. The cast consists of a romance novelist, a beatboxing security guard, and a would-be Bollywood diva, Amrita. Saumya Tandon plays Amrita with masterful comic timing. Amrita's ad-libbing off-script brings a whirlwind of aliens, spies, and unanticipated turns. Under the humour, there is a poignant story. It is one of a woman claims her identity and voice. Radio Ghaint is among the Ladies First anthology. This anthology is a carefully selected compilation of 50-minute, women-directed stories. The film was filmed in a Baroda studio. Amritsar cityscapes were shot entirely on an iPhone. Its stylised slapstick sound design is an homage to the Bollywood comedy's golden era. Saumya Tandon, known for her iconic roles in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! and Jab We Met, provides a bright and multifaceted performance, grounding the film's wacky tone in emotional truth. Director Indrajit Nattoji stated that it's a narrative of both chaos and courage. While the film mocks the infatuation with celebrity and spectacle, it is ultimately about a woman rising out of the shadows to become her storyteller.
