Adi Ballygunge Sarbojonin Durga Puja Parishad Ushers in Durga Puja 2025 with Khuti Puja

News Desk, News Nation 360 : With the revered Khuti Puja, the Adi Ballygunge Sarbojonin Durga Puja Parishad, a name associated with tradition, innovation, and cultural genius, celebrated the spectacular opening of its 99th year of Durga Puja. In addition to marking a new beginning, this year's ceremony was a sincere celebration of almost a century of unity, devotion, and tradition. An esteemed audience attended the event, which reflected Bengal's diverse character in everything from politics and sports to movies and community. Some of the city's most prominent personalities attended the event. Politicians included Babul Supriyo, MLA for Ballygunge Constituency, who brought the effervescent charm and profound cultural affinity that characterise him. Debasish Kumar, MLA, Rashbehari Constituency, and Pratima Mondol, MP, Joynagar, added to the extensive political goodwill for the puja. Representing the sports world, Debasish Dutta and Srinjoy Bose, President and General Secretary of the legendary Mohun Bagan Club, represented the football heritage of the city. Sanjib Acharya, Cricket Secretary of East Bengal Club, represented the harmony of sports and festivity. From Tollywood's creative corridors, the elegant Devlina Kumar and the visionary director Debaloy Bhattacharya lent an air of glamour and cultural depth, applauding the artistic vision of the puja. This year's idol and artistic vision are being created by Nabo Kumar Pal, a much-respected name in idol-making. He is famous for melding emotion with aesthetics. Visitors can look forward to an immersive and captivating experience. This experience will not only pay homage to tradition but also appeal to modern-day artistic expression. The selected tagline for the 99th year, "9 r pithe 9 na dekhley noy", is a wonderful reminder of Bengal's love for nostalgia. It also attunes to its continued affinity towards age-old proverbs and culinary nostalgia. It denotes the spirit of the puja. It is comforting, warm, and full of cultural pride.
