News Desk, News Nation 360 : The finals and closing ceremony of the Akhtar Ali Foundation Super Series Junior Tennis Tournament were held today at the Bengal Tennis Association (BTA) at Salt Lake. The Akhtar Ali Foundation organised the tournament, which brought together the best junior tennis players from throughout the country for a week of competitive, high-quality tennis. The renowned concluding ceremony was graced by iconic Indian tennis hero Leander Paes, who attended with his mother and sister, making the occasion genuinely memorable for both young players and spectators. Guests of honour were Vikram Swarup, Sudarshan Ghosh, and Md. Azhar, Imran Zaki, and Nilofer Ali, Chairperson of the Akhtar Ali Foundation. The Akhtar Ali Foundation BTA–AITA Super Series Junior Tennis Tournament 2025 was held from 27th to 31st October 2025 at the
Bengal Tennis Association venue in Kolkata. The tournament featured intense competition across Boys' and Girls' Singles and Doubles in the Under-14 and Under-16 age categories. The recent matches included Monodip De defeating Atharv Anand in the Boys' Singles U-14 final, Sanrachna Das winning against Mrigakshi Changmai in Girls' Singles U-14, and Aleena Farid overcoming Indrakshi Bhattacharya in Girls' Singles U-16. Doubles events also saw outstanding performances, with Adhiraj Dudhane and Ahaan Jain claiming victory in Boys' Doubles U-14, Mrigakshi Changmai and Ridhima Mullick winning Girls' Doubles U-14, and Aleena Farid pairing with Ayra Farid to win Girls' Doubles U-16. The foundation and organisers expressed gratitude to players, parents, coaches, and dignitaries for their support. Though the tournament officially concluded on 31st October, two highly anticipated finals remained to be played the following day, promising further displays of top-level junior tennis.
