Athlead and South City International School Partner to Organise a Sports Carnival

News Desk, News Nation 360: A sports carnival was organised by Athlead in association with South City International School (SCIS) on March 18, 2026, at the SCIS campus in Kolkata with the aim of developing grassroots sports and encouraging the holistic development of students. The sports carnival featured a star-studded lineup of sports legends like the winner of the 1983 World Cup, Mr. Sandip Patil, the Director of Cricket at Athlead; Mr. Jose Ramirez Barreto, the Football Icon and the Director of Football at Athlead and the legend from the famous Mohun Bagan Football Club; and Mr. Alvito D’Cunha, the former Indian international and the star from the famous East Bengal Football Club and the Chief Scout and Coach at Athlead. The key moment from the sports carnival was the launch of the Athlead Cricket Program at the SCIS campus by Mr. Sandip Patil, with interactive sessions with the legends and tributes to the three sports legends for their immense contribution to Indian sports. Football training programs and methodologies were conducted by the expert coaches at Athlead for the students from Classes 3 to 8, with the aim of delivering high-performance training to the students. The sports program concluded with the ceremonial kit handover to the students of the Athlead After-School Programme (ASP), marking the commencement of the long-term development journey with the inclusion of sports training methodologies as part of the curriculum at the South City International School.
