Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) Accelerates MSMEs' Adoption of NATS

News Desk, News Nation 360: The Board of Practical Training (Eastern Region) (BOPT-ER), which is an independent organisation of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has announced that Regional Apprenticeship Day (RAD) 2026 will take place on September 5, 2026, under the central theme of “Empowerment of MSMEs by NATS: Enabling regional growth through structured apprenticeships.” Initiated by BOPT(ER) Director Dr S.M. Ejaz Ahmad and Administrative-cum-Accounts Officer Shri Kailash Nath Mishra, the event aims to narrow down the gap between industry and academia, ease the compliance process of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with the help of a scalable cluster model, and enhance youth employability in Eastern India. Pointing out the new pedagogical and technological initiatives including Apprenticeship Embedded Degree/Diploma Program (AEDP) as per the National Higher Education Qualifications Framework (NHEQF) for academic credits, updated training programs with AI and automation, and broadcasting digitally to more than 60,000 stakeholders at tier-2/3 technical colleges, the event is in continuation of BOPT(ER)’s achievement of training 1.45 lakh apprentices during FY 2025-26 while bringing together various industry associations (BCC&I, ASSOCHAM, CII), Vice-Chancellors of universities, and education secretaries of states to honor distinguished apprentices, MSMEs and educational institutions.
