News Desk, News Nation 360: At an event at the Taj Mansingh in New Delhi, MMTC-PAMP, India's only London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) Good Delivery refiner, formally unveiled "Virasat – Celebrating 80th Year of India's Independence," a limited-edition 10g commemorative gold coin made entirely of 999.9+ pure recycled gold. The coin is limited to 8,000 pieces in tamper-proof certified assayer packaging, and it was unveiled by Olympic silver medallist and weightlifting legend Mirabai Chanu, who received the first edition in honour of her remarkable athletic accomplishments. Highlighting the launch, Managing Director & CEO Samit Guha emphasized that the initiative supports the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat by strengthening domestic precious metals recycling infrastructure, reducing reliance on India's substantial gold imports, and advancing a sustainable, circular economy for precious metals across its expanding network of 17 recycling outlets and organized buyback programs nationwide.
