SERVES FOR NATION
News Desk, News Nation 360 : Through the corporate-community partnership between Dabur India Limited and Ennoble Social Innovation Foundation, the renowned Tirthapati Institution in Ballygunge unveiled a renovated campus, marking the reopening of a proud chapter in the history of one of Kolkata's oldest educational institutions. Although the school has a rich history, it has experienced the same infrastructure problems as other government institutions in India. Just 34% of schools in the state have boundary walls, and only 26.5% of schools have functioning restrooms for girls, according to the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER), underscoring the urgent need for infrastructure upgrades. This significant school is linked with the early years of Rabindranath Tagore. Other legendary cinema stars such as R. D. Burman and Pradeep Kumar also attended this school. Now, it also has new vital improvements. These will give a healthier, safer, and more inspiring ambience to more than 2,200 students. Dabur India Limited made the school improvement possible. This was all part of their CSR agenda for education and the well-being of the community. This project is a perfect match for Ennoble's mission. Ennoble aims to develop future-focused and lovable institutions through effective community influence. The renovation incorporated a few significant enhancements. First, there were structural upgrades. This comprised total plaster replacement, new outer painting, and motivating student artwork. These alterations provided the building with a lively and welcoming appearance. Second, sanitation units improved. Toilets on every floor were renovated. This encompassed plumbing, tiling, waterproofing, urinals, partitions, and ventilators. Complete sanitation improvements were carried out. This provides hygienic and respectful use, particularly for girls and younger kids. Third, safety and accessibility were enhanced. Ramps, window frames, grills, and doors were repaired. This provides safety, accessibility, and functionality for all the students. This extends to children with disabilities. These improvements directly address the infrastructural issues highlighted in the ASER report. They also conform to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4. This is inclusive and equitable quality education for all. Dabur India Limited CEO Mohit Malhotra stated that being a part of this groundbreaking school renovation project as part of their CSR drive makes them incredibly proud. They think that every kid should have access to a supportive learning environment because education is the foundation of a thriving society. This project demonstrates our dedication to strengthening communities and raising the next generation.
