Yuva Sur Sartaj 2024 is part of this initiative. Yuva Sur Sartaj is a unique talent search for young talent in Hindustani classical music. Its mission is to support and develop upcoming Hindustani classical vocalists by giving them a platform for development and recognition as well as mentorship. With renowned figures in Indian classical music such as Rahul Deshpande, Sanjeev Abhyankar, and Kaushiki Chakraborty joining the judges panel, Yuva Sur Sartaj promises to be an incredible platform for Hindustani classical singers to demonstrate their abilities and obtain priceless exposure. The Dedhia Music Foundation is resolute in its efforts to preserve this age-old art form for future generations and to cultivate a rich musical legacy in India. In fact, the shortlisted participants will also receive mentorship support. Aatish Dedhia, Founder of Dedhia Music Foundation shared that they at the Dedhia Music Foundation aim to instill in young people a love of their nation's rich musical history, especially in an era when the majority of talent shows concentrate on Western music. Their goal with Yuva Sur Sartaj is to inspire young people to continue committing themselves to the art form while refocusing attention on the richness and beauty of Hindustani classical music.
