SERVES FOR NATION
News Desk, News Nation 360: On April 7, 2026, Desun Hospital celebrated World Health Day with a number of extensive community outreach programs in Kolkata and Siliguri that focused on the shift from reactive treatment to proactive preventative care. The day in Siliguri included a vigorous walkathon from Venus More to Air View More, where medical personnel used mannequins to give practical Basic Life Support (BLS) instruction. This was followed by a massive health camp where locals could get free scans and consultations. Concurrently, the hospital established dedicated
health stations for morning walkers in Kolkata at Rabindra Sarobar and Patuli Lake, offering the city's exercise aficionados immediate vital checks and professional medical advice. These initiatives, which include interactive OPD discussions on lifestyle diseases and health workshops for schoolchildren, are intended to take healthcare outside of hospital walls and develop long-term wellness practices in the next generation, according to Chairman and Managing Director Sajal Dutta. Desun Hospital reaffirmed its position as a responsible healthcare provider committed to creating a more health-conscious community through early intervention and enhanced accessibility by fusing clinical evaluations, public fitness events, and educational engagement.
