announced that nearly 2,500 engineers attended the celebration this year. He also expressed joy that, for the very first time, the association has been officially recognised by the state government. In his address, Minister Manas Bhuiyan emphasised that the engineers of the state government have been at the helm of the Chief Minister’s relentless efforts in building dams, embankments, and bridges across West Bengal. Referring to them as the “living embodiments of Vishwakarma”, the minister underlined their central role in the state’s development. He also criticised central neglect, remarking that the Chief Minister herself has been carrying forward the progress of the state with determination and independence.
