Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Receives a ₹2,811 Crore Dividend From Bank of Baroda for the Fiscal Year 2025–2026

News Desk, News Nation 360: The Hon'ble Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman received an official dividend cheque from Bank of Baroda totalling 2,811 crore for the fiscal year that concluded on March 31, 2026. In front of the Department of Financial Services (DFS) Secretary Shri Sanjay Lohiya, IAS, Executive Directors Shri Lalit Tyagi, Shri Sanjay Mudaliar, Shri Lal Singh, and Ms Beena Vaheed, the bank's Managing Director & CEO, Dr Debadatta Chand, formally presented the enormous payout. Bank of Baroda announced a dividend of ₹8.50 per equity share, or 425% of the face value of ₹2 per share, in response to a record-breaking year of corporate profits. The record payout comes immediately after a historic fiscal year in which the public sector lender reported a standalone net profit of ₹20,021 crore, easily surpassing the ₹30 lakh crore mark as of March 31, 2026, and crossed the historic ₹20,000 crore milestone in annual profits for the first time.
