GRSE Receives Award at 36th WIPS 2026 National Meet

With the most recent accolade, GRSE has earned the coveted distinction of winning the award for seven years in a row, highlighting its ongoing leadership among CPSEs in advancing gender equality and fostering an atmosphere that supports women professionals. Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) reached a major milestone by winning the “Women in Public Sector (WIPS) Award 2026” at the 36th National Meet of WIPS in Mumbai on February 11, 2026. Notably, this is the seventh consecutive year that GRSE has won this award, a unique achievement that highlights its continued leadership role in promoting gender equality. The two-day meet, titled ‘HER ERA-NOW & BEYOND,’ was inaugurated by Atul Sobti, Director General of SCOPE, and witnessed the presence of over 600 delegates from Public Sector Enterprises across India. The award is a testament to GRSE’s continued efforts to create a diverse work environment where women are encouraged to take leading roles in the shipbuilding and defence sectors, which have traditionally been male-dominated. GRSE’s continued support for diversity and capacity-building initiatives has set the bar high for the public sector in promoting women professionals. The meeting also honoured other women contributors who have made significant contributions to their respective organisations, thereby emphasising the critical role of women talent in the rapidly changing global economy.
