SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk. News Nation 360: Students in Classes 6 through 9 can now register for the 7th edition of HCL Jigsaw, the company's premier student innovation platform, which is moving away from traditional quiz-based models and toward a project-based, startup-style learning competition. This year's edition, which has a ₹12 lakh prize pool, challenges student teams to assign specialised roles—like Project Lead, Technical Designer, and Creative Strategist—to solve important real-world problems across four pillars: Robotics & Automation, AI & Digital Futures, Climate & Sustainability, and Medical Innovation. Teams are guided through a five-stage process by the competitive process structure, which starts with outreach and design-thinking modules in May and July 2026. On November 22, 2026, top zonal teams will present working digital models or functional prototypes to industry experts at the National Grand Finale. According to Sundar Mahalingam, President of Strategy at HCL Group, the platform, which has already reached over 500,000 pupils across 8,200 schools in India, intends to foster an early ecosystem of applied innovation and critical thinking. Registration is open until July 31, 2026.
