News Desk, News Nation 360 : Retaining its ranking from the previous year, Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) is once again the top cooperative out of 300 worldwide. The ranking is determined by dividing turnover by GDP (gross domestic product) per person. This suggests that IFFCO is making a substantial contribution to the GDP and economic expansion of the nation. The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) publishes the 12th annual World Cooperative Monitor (WCM) report, and the 2023 edition links enterprise turnover to country assets. In the overall turnover ranking, IFFCO has risen from 97th place to 72nd place in the most recent fiscal year. Following years of arduous labour, research, and crop experiments, the Hon. Prime Minister's vision of "prosperity through cooperation" served as inspiration for IFFCO to develop the first-ever Nano DAP and Nano Urea for farmers worldwide. Cooperatives working towards "Self-reliant India" and "Self-reliant agriculture" are bringing prosperity to IFFCO's 35,500-member cooperative societies, 25,000 PACS, and 52,400 PMKSK centres. For the past few years, IFFCO has remained ranked #1, which is evidence of the organization's and its management's unwavering faith in cooperative principles. Additionally, it can be interpreted as a sign of the robust national cooperative movement that has gained impetus since the establishment of a specialised Union Ministry of Cooperation led by the Honourable Minister for Home Affairs and Cooperation of the Government of India, Amit Shah. The Ministry has taken steps to create an environment that has made it possible for the Cooperative Movement to flourish in India. IFFCO has been working to change the nation's agricultural landscape in recent years. In line with the goals of Agriculture 2.0, IFFCO has made investments in and introduced innovative agrotechnologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), agri-drone promotion, digital farmer and farm enablement, and fertilisers based on nanotechnology. IFFCO wants to be the face of contemporary Indian agriculture by appealing to forward-thinking rural business owners and innovators. Commenting on retaining the top position for consecutive years, Dr Uday Shankar Awasthi, Managing Director, IFFCO stated that Both the Indian cooperative movement and IFFCO are proud of this moment. At IFFCO, their constant goals are to boost the nation's farming sector, guarantee the sound development of farmers nationwide, and support the cooperative movement. Since they think that innovation is the key to success, they are introducing solutions based on nanotechnology for agriculture, particularly alternative fertilisers. Their first product, IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid, has been well received by Indian farmers. Later, IFFCO unveiled the IFFCO Nano DAP, which was most recently referenced in the Indian government's annual budget. I extend my congratulations to the entire IFFCO team as well as the nation's cooperative community for this significant accomplishment.
