SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360 : IndiGo, India's preferred airline, has introduced a new Economy Class option called 'UpFront' as part of its expanding, fit-for-purpose product portfolio. UpFront is IndiGo's first-in, first-out service experience, designed for customers seeking enhanced convenience and comfort with extra legroom. Starting January 29, 2026, the product will be available for purchase via the IndiGo website and mobile app. IndiGo has introduced a new premium service named IndiGo UpFront, which is designed to provide a slightly better experience for the aspirational Indian traveller. It includes seating in the front rows with more legroom, free snacks, and a higher baggage allowance. The groundwork for the travel policy is also very traveller-friendly, with easy changes and cancellations, while still maintaining the affordability and efficiency of air travel. To make the options easier to understand and navigate for different types of travellers, the airline has categorised the options into three types of trips, two types of cabins, and five types of fares. The three types of trips include domestic, regional international, and long-haul international flights that are over seven hours. The two types of cabins include the Economy Class cabin or the IndiGoStretch cabin, which has more room and privacy. In the Economy Class cabin, there are three types of fares: Saver, Flexi, and UpFront. The IndiGoStretch cabin has Stretch and Stretch+ fares with meals prepared by chefs and priority handling, along with additional perks such as lounge access. Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo, stated that as IndiGo celebrates nearly two decades of giving the nation wings, their primary emphasis remains on providing their clients with dependable, cheap, and increasingly personalised travel experiences. India's aviation landscape is rapidly changing, as are customer expectations. At IndiGo, they are constantly improving their product porGolio to meet the expectations of a global audience while remaining faithful to the company's key principles of price, simplicity, and reliability. With IndiGoStretch, BluChip, their expanding long-haul operations, and a product portfolio tailored to the needs of customers on the respective routes, they reaffirm their commitment to customer-centric innovation, providing seamless, comfortable, and flexible travel for millions of flyers in India and beyond.
