SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360: The Kutchina Foundation, which funds philanthropy by Kutchina Home Makers Private Limited, today announced the launch of Krittika Samriddhi in Kolkata on a Saturday. The foundation is set to provide an extensive one-year business incubation program, capacity-building, and grant support program to six first-generation women entrepreneurs who built a sustainable commercial enterprise of their own without any existing capital or network. Namit Bajoria, Managing Director of Kutchina Home Makers and Chairperson of the Kutchina Foundation, and Past President of MCCI, conceived and executed the scheme which has a corpus of ₹12 lakh to be distributed as ₹2 lakh to each of the six women entrepreneurs over a period of four quarters, with each receiving a quarterly grant of ₹50,000, mentorship, financial literacy, and direct retail market linkages, taking the foundation's ten-year-old Krittika Fellowship to new heights and building on its social outreach footprint, as the first-time participants will focus on deep intersectionality and gender inclusiveness, with trans woman entrepreneur Debangshi Chowdhury Biswas (ornaments and jewelry, Uttarpara) and Priyanka Saha (nail art and cosmetics, Khardah, married to a trans man) and Tanushree Guha Roy (sari retail, South Kolkata), Piya Mitra (sari curation, Barasat), Dwayita Biswas (artisanal confectionery) and Arjuma Bibi (beauty and cosmetics, Barasat), as the foundation's Mr. Bajoria believes that plugging in the early start-up capital-network gap has the potential to turn many self-made women entrepreneurs' young start-ups into a sustainable source of livelihood.
