SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Medella Karkinos Oncology Institute participated in the worldwide breast cancer awareness campaign by hosting a free Breast Cancer Screening Program and an Awareness Session on the hospital grounds as part of the "Pinktober-Awareness Saves Lives" effort. The month-long campaign emphasises an important message: Breast cancer awareness and early detection save lives. More than 100 people from diverse walks of life attended the screening camp and supported the awareness campaign. The screening program aims to create awareness about preventative measures, the necessity of early identification, and the need for prompt treatment in order to reduce the cancer burden. It also encouraged women to have frequent cancer screenings, as early detection is essential for improving treatment results and survival rates. Dr. Akther Jawade, Director East, Karkinos Healthcare, stated that Breast cancer is one of the most frequent malignancies in women today, but the good news is that it is largely treatable when caught early. Medical science advancements have resulted in considerable improvements in patient survival and quality of life. Breast cancer prevention relies heavily on early detection. Many instances can be adequately managed if diagnosed at the appropriate stage and treated on time. Awareness and regular screening are their most effective strategies for saving lives. Every woman should prioritise breast self-examination and regular screening.
