News Desk, News Nation 360: To celebrate the more than 110-year-old festive Pujor Gaan (modern Bengali festive singles) heritage, Surinder Music (presented by Surinder Singh and Nispal Singh of Surinder Films) unveiled their latest festive single, ‘Kaash Phooler Gondho ’, at a formal launch ceremony attended by renowned filmmaker Raja Chanda alongside the creative team at Chapter 2 in Kolkata. Sung by popular contemporary vocalist Mekhla Dasgupta, composed and penned by communications professional Sreeraj Mitra, and musically arranged by veteran music director Rocket Mondal, the track deliberately blends the feel-good contemporary studio production with the cozy nostalgic acoustic idiom of the 1970s and early 1980s golden era of Adhunik Bangla Gaan—evoking the quintessential autumnal sensory motifs of Bengal—swaying kaash blossoms, azure skies, and the romance of festive homecoming; engineered with rhythm programming by Subham Pandit, tracking at Studio Vibrations by Siddheswar Banerjee, and final mixing-mastering by Sudip Santra at Studio JMD Sounds, the music video—directed by Sumit Mondal, lensed and edited by Anupam Kundu, and starring actors Sudipta Roy and Bipul Rishi—is slated for multi-platform distribution across Surinder Music’s digital channels as part of the studio’s strategic pivot towards non-film indie singles.
