complexes included in the participation. This year's Puja Parikrama featured well-known actors Swastika Dutta, Ranojoy Bishnu, and Sauraseni Maitra joining Merlin Group members and officials to visit and judge 22 Merlin housing complexes in Kolkata, Howrah, and Hooghly. They engaged with residents and praised their inventiveness, unity, and enthusiasm, reflecting the true spirit of Durga Puja celebrations. The event, called Merlin Shera Pujo, was started in 2019 as part of the group's initiative to recognise and encourage Puja organising committees in its communities to celebrate creatively while encouraging community cohesion and artistic expression. The combination of dhaak beats, dhunuchi fragrance, and women in traditional attire created a magical festive atmosphere that moved the judges and officials, making the celebrations a heartfelt return to the joy and devotion of pre-pandemic times. Saket Mohta, Managing Director, Merlin Group, stated that after a two-year hiatus, they observed an overly exuberant gathering of pandal-hoppers and revellers this Durga Puja. The pride and celebration of every Kolkatan has increased since Durga Puja, the first in Asia, was recognised by UNESCO. The occupants of the Merlin housing complexes in Kolkata, Howrah, and Hooghly are incredibly happy and energetic, and they are thrilled to witness this. In the upcoming years, they shall carry on the Merlin Shera Pujo tradition to honour unity and cultural brilliance.
