News Desk, News Nation 360 : Procam International, the producers of the world's first World Athletics Gold Label Road Race, has secured a smooth execution and an improved race experience for the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata, which is set for Sunday, December 21, 2025. The press conference was held at the Media Centre on the historic Red Road, where facts on the race course and medical facilities were discussed, as well as the plans for nearly 23,000 on-site and virtual competitors. The USD 142,214 prize money tournament also maintains its commitment to equal prize money for male and female champions. In addition, for the tenth edition, there is a USD 25,000 incentive for surpassing the world record of 1:11:08. The event will reward ₹35,000, ₹25,000, and ₹10,000 to the top three amateur runners in men's and women's categories across age groups. Race Day will be broadcast live on Sony Sports 1 HD and SD beginning at 5:30 a.m. Participation across categories looks very strong at Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata 2025: 6,927 runners in the 25K, 8,068 runners in the Open 10K, 6,066 runners in Ananda Run, 1,815 runners in the Senior Citizens Run, and 450 runners in the Champions with Disability run. All five categories start and finish on Red Road (Indira Gandhi Sarani Rd.). The southern course of the route has been reimagined to pass by Tipu Sultan Mosque, Rabindra Sarobar, and Lakes Flyover due to the closure of Vidyasagar Setu. Timing for the race: Elite 25K - 5:45 am, Amateur 25K - 5:49 am, Open 10K - 6:50 am, Police Cup - 6:50 am, Senior Citizens 2.3K - 8:20 am, Champions with Disability 2.3K - 8:20 am, Ananda Run 4.5K - 8:55 am. Course facilities: Bisleri Hydration stations - 9+ holding/post-finish; FAST&UP Energy stations - 4+ gel/post-finish; Red Bull; Chikki - 2; Orange/Salt - 3; Ice Station - 3. Medical team - Fortis: ~200 staff, 8 Route stations, holding/post-finish medical points, 14 ambulances, 30 spotters. Sustainability: 100% waste management-zero waste to landfill, segregation & recycling, composting; BYOB refill points; paperless; plastic-free kits and bags; repurposed branding; water conservation for plants; digital signage; bicycle stands; Food redistribution to NGOs post-event; biodiversity survey. All these meet the standards laid out by World Athletics.
