News Desk, News Nation 360: "Mridang 2K26," JIS University's premier intercollegiate cultural festival, was successfully held. It offered a vibrant, multidisciplinary platform that brought together students from many higher education institutions to display their artistic talent, innovation, and cultural passion. The eagerly awaited festival showcased a variety of fierce student contests, including beautiful dance routines, heartfelt musical medleys, and mesmerising theatrical performances, all expertly coordinated by host Pratha Dixit. With outstanding guest performances by well-known vocalist Mausam Mukherjee and the well-liked local rock group Distorted Chromosome, the excitement on campus peaked. The event culminated in a captivating, high-octane grand finale by the renowned Fakira Band, which enthusiastically concluded the unforgettable celebrations. Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director of the JIS Group, noted that flagship platforms like Mridang go far beyond typical campus entertainment—they serve as an essential crucible for cultural exchange, self-expression, and teamwork—reflecting the enormous, statewide response from students, alumni, and faculty. This reinforces the group's long-term institutional commitment to fostering confidence, leadership, and holistic, well-rounded student growth.
