News Desk, News Nation 360 : With an emphasis on expanding 5G Fixed Wireless connectivity (FWA) and Wi-Fi solutions to enable high-speed internet connectivity for millions of people throughout India, Bharti Airtel has granted contracts to Qualcomm and Nokia. Under the agreement, Nokia will provide Airtel with its Wi-Fi 6 Access Point and 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) outside gateway receiver, which use Qualcomm® Modem-RF and Wi-Fi 6 chipsets. Through this project, Airtel will be able to offer high-quality broadband services in places where fibre access is either hard to come by or difficult to deploy. One notable use of 5G technology is the installation of fixed wireless internet access via 5G networks, particularly in India, where there is a huge demand for digital services but minimal fibre penetration. Randeep Sekhon, CTO of Bharti Airtel, stated that this partnership with Qualcomm and Nokia demonstrates their commitment to providing their clients with an outstanding network experience. They are sure that Nokia's Wi-Fi 6 Access Point and 5G Fixed Wireless Access solutions will assist underserved areas get high-speed internet and meet the demand for a better, continuous broadband experience. Taking advantage of Nokia's FastMile 5G outdoor receivers, which support multi-dwelling units and can serve two homes at once, Airtel is trying to lower the cost of connection. The receivers have high-gain antennas to provide longer broadband reach and optimize radio resource usage, and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) technology makes them easier to install on different surfaces. Within houses, Airtel will use Nokia's Wi-Fi 6 access points, which include smart mesh features and self-optimizing network functionality, to deliver an enhanced and uniform broadband experience across the home. Nokia's holistic approach offers Airtel a resilient 5G FWA solution.
