Orko's Pays Tribute to the Original Cooks in Every Household

News Nation 360: In honour of Mother's Day 2026, Orko's Restaurant and Lounge at City Centre 1, in partnership with Regenta Orko's Hotel in Kasba, hosted a special culinary event that featured ten distinguished women chosen from all around Kolkata for their signature family dishes. Under the direction of Corporate General Manager Kaushik Sengupta, this program moves these mothers from their home kitchens to a professional setting where their "Mother’s Table Menu" will be served for lunch and supper beginning on May 10 and running for two months. In order to foster

an emotional connection between visitors and the creators who were honoured at the launch event, each highlighted dish is served with a story card that describes the customs and memories behind the recipe. In addition to the carefully chosen food, the event featured a special "My Mother, My Hero" picture booth, providing guests with a comprehensive experience that combines real Bengali home-style flavours with a touching homage to the mothers who have influenced the

city's culinary legacy. Selected for their signature dishes, among these women are 1) Sarbani Das - Mutton Kashmiri Kofta, 2) Sanghamitra Ghoshbasu - Masala Macher Chop with Kasundi Dip, 3) Sanchita Kushari Bose -Masoor Chingri Bora with Aam Adar Chutney, 4) Kamalini Chakravarti - Chaal Shorshe Pabda, 5) Purba Roy - Melt-in-Mouth Malai Chicken with Pudina Chutney, 6) Aditi Dutta - Navratna Dal, 7) Dipanwita Chakraborty - Sahi Tukda, 8) Soma Chakraborty -Awadhi Chicken Biriyani, 9) Arundhuti Gupta - Bandhakopir Paturi, 10) Anindita Roy Sanyal - Kancha Aam Pora Murgi.
