SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360: The Association of Professional Academic Institutions, West Bengal (APAI-WB) successfully organised the APAI-WB Pre-Counselling & Education Fair 2026 in Kolkata, establishing a critical consultative platform to help thousands of aspiring high school and graduate students navigate admissions into self-financed professional colleges. The high-profile exhibition was formally inaugurated by Dr Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Education and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), alongside key regional academic leaders including Prof. (Dr.) Goutam Paul (Chairman, WBJEEB), Prof. Tapas Chakraborty (Vice-Chancellor, MAKAUT), Dr Dibyendu Kar (Registrar, WBJEEB), Sardar Taranjit Singh (President of APAI-WB and Managing Director of JIS Group), Shri Satyam Roychowdhury (General Secretary of APAI-WB and Founder of Techno India Group), and Manoshi Roychowdhury (Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group). Designed to ease the intense friction of the post-examination admission season, the fair brought over a hundred member institutions under one roof, providing students and anxious parents direct access to expert counselling across industry-aligned disciplines including Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Computer Applications. Pointing out the strategic vision of Viksit Bharat, Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar emphasised that Indian higher education must aggressively integrate skill-based curricula—such as semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity—to remain globally competitive. At the same time, General Secretary Satyam Roychowdhury reiterated APAI-WB's ongoing institutional commitment to democratisation, ensuring that even first-generation learners from rural or financially vulnerable backgrounds receive the right structural guidance and scholarship opportunities to build meaningful global careers.
