News Desk, News Nation 360: Recently, in Kolkata's Sonagachi area, Amra Padatik, an organization run by and for the children of sex workers, successfully held a high-profile felicitation ceremony in partnership with the R.P. Welfare Trust to honour thirty deserving students from various red-light districts throughout West Bengal who passed their Madhyamik (Class 10) and Higher Secondary (Class 12) board exams with distinction. The socio-educational gathering was graced by an eminent panel of dignitaries, including Srimati Nandini Bhattacharya (President, All Bengal Men’s Forum), who personally presented the medals, alongside Sri Shubhashis Roy and Srimati Sushmita Roy (Secretary and President of R.P. Welfare Trust), veteran leader Sri Ratan Dolui, media coordinator Sri Dipjan Ghosh, singer Sri Prabir Das, several prominent medical professionals, and representatives from the Lalbazar Anti-Human Trafficking Cell and the Battala Police Station. Beyond the scholarly accolades, the event included a captivating musical performance by Sri Ratan Dolui and a thought-provoking, inspirational dance drama performed by Sonagachi Day Care Centre children that effectively promoted the elimination of child marriage and the crucial dissemination of institutional literacy. As the milestone program came to an end, Srimati Shatabdi Saha, Secretary of Amra Padatik, reiterated the collective's steadfast dedication to ensuring equal rights and opportunities for marginalised youth, stressing that focused, high-quality education continues to be the most effective means of bringing about social change and creating a respectable future for the next generation.
