Saina Nehwal will Launch the 7th edition of Ekal Run in Kolkata

News Desk, News Nation 360 : FTS Yuva, the youth branch of Friends of Tribals Society (FTS), is thrilled to announce the 7th edition of its signature event, the Ekal Run, which will be held on January 4, 2026, at Godrej Waterside in Kolkata. This year's event will be inaugurated by Saina Nehwal, India's pioneering badminton icon. Saina, a sporting star with over 24 international titles, made history in the 2012 London Olympics as the first Indian to win an Olympic medal in badminton. The Ekal Run, which attracts thousands of fitness enthusiasts each year, remains committed to promoting health, community participation, and a great social mission: teaching rural and tribal children in India through the Ekal Vidyalaya program. The seventh edition is expected to see tremendous participation in a variety of race forms, including 21km, 10km, 5km, and a non-timed 3km fun run, encouraging people of all ages and fitness levels to join the movement. Speaking to the media, Rishabh Saraogi, President of FTS Yuva, Kolkata Chapter, stated that they are really honoured to have Saina Nehwal as the 7th edition of the Ekal Run's inauguration speaker.
